The design is a more traditional form rendered with modern detailing. The case sits on an attached base, and is capped
by a solid wood top. The case is built using frame and
panel construction, with pinned mortise + tenon joinery.
The vertical frame is square in section, and the panels
and drawer fronts are inset equally for a symmetrical condition
about the corners. The side panels are of solid wood with
a fine reveal that provides a subtle shadow line. The drawer-fronts
are of book-matched solid wood, with a solid wood handle
joined to the front with dovetails.
