Coffee Table in Wenge and Stainless Steel

The strong, simple composition of materials in the coffee table gives the illusion that a thick slab of wood is held clamped within the metal frame. The frame is solid, half-inch thick stainless steel, the shape of which was first plasma-cut from flat plate and then bent twice to form a “U” as seen in the end view.  The elegant radiuses at the bottom of the legs are evidence of this technique.  The solid, vertical-grain wood is mitered at each end.
