Das Design is commissioned by clients who value refined design, technical skill, and the highest quality solid wood furniture. These clients also understand the rarified work of the designer-craftsman, who labors over detail long lost in production furniture.

Daniel Schultz graduated from the School of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1999. While working in an architectural office, he yearned simply to build. With his strong design skills and lifetime of hands-on experience, he assembled a woodworking shop of professional tools and started making furniture.

Daniel is available for on-site personal consultation with private clients and design professionals. A detailed proposal is provided that often includes three-dimensional renderings of the design within its context. Wood species selection, finish selection, measured drawings, and prototyping of significant details are all part of the design approval process. A deposit is required with the acceptance of the proposal, thereby insuring a position in the production schedule and further refinement of the design.
